Return of the Jedi!

Well, my return is not as glamorous as a Jedi but nevertheless I have returned.  After a long hiatus, I’m back to cover the playoffs.  For now enjoy this postgame interview from Leonard, who had a fantastic game against the Clippers and came in fourth in the rookie of year voting.

 

 

The Hairston Experiment Is Over

After spending two seasons with the Spurs, Malik Hairston has been released.

Spurs.com:

“We’ve enjoyed having Malik in our organization,” said Spurs General Manager RC Buford. “He is a hard-worker, a talented basketball player and an outstanding young man. After Malik approached us we were happy to honor his request as it will, after he clears waivers, allow him to pursue an excellent overseas basketball opportunity.”

He has signed with Montepaschi Siena of the Italian league.  Malik played two seasons with the Spurs and in 62 games averaged 2.4 points in 7.6 minutes and made .0512 of his field goals.  Hairston highlights can be seen at Sportando.

Spurs Sign Anderson And Neal

The Spurs have signed two players.

Spurs Sign Splitter

Spurs.com:

The San Antonio Spurs today announced they have signed Tiago Splitter. The 25-year-old Splitter was selected by the Spurs with the 28th overall pick in the 2007 NBA Draft. Per club policy, terms of the contract were not announced.
